About Wellmont Foundation

The mission of the Wellmont Foundation is to support the mission, vision and values of the Wellmont Health System through the use of community involvement and philanthropic support.

As a non-profit hospital network, Wellmont Health System is a charitable organization just like any other "501(c)(3)" you may know. We provide health care services regardless of a patient's ability to pay, funding millions of dollars of care each year. Our hospitals are owned and governed by the communities they serve.

Wellmont Foundation is the fundraising arm of Wellmont Health System, serving all of its hospitals and service lines throughout the region. The Foundation has two primary functions; to actively seek donations through carefully measured activities and to make sure that all donations received are used properly. We are striving to become a national model of excellence among hospital foundations in the country.

Health care operating margins are small and hospital needs are many. Your partnership and support are essential to making a difference in our region’s healthcare. We believe that our community is the best place to live and work - and we believe that our neighbors, friends, and families deserve nothing less than the best.

There are two key questions we must all ask ourselves: What does it take to have the best healthcare possible and what can I do to help?
